Nansha unveils plan to enhance law-based business environment
Nansha district recently released Guangzhou's first plan to enhance its legal environment for businesses, aiming to become a nationwide pioneer by 2025.
The plan consists of 96 measures that provide comprehensive legal protection throughout the lifecycle of market entities.
One key aspect of the plan emphasizes strengthening intellectual property rights (IPR) protection. It will explore innovative pilot projects for protecting trade secrets, such as establishing a branch of the Guangdong Intellectual Property Protection Center in Nansha.
This move aims to improve the city's legal framework for IPR and enhance the crackdown on IPR infringement. Furthermore, the plan emphasizes the provision of comprehensive legal services in order to address IPR-related issues.
The plan also focuses on promoting regulatory coordination and integration in areas such as global traceability standards.
Additionally, Nansha seeks to develop its foreign-related legal service industry by piloting joint ventures between Chinese and foreign law firms. The plan also highlights the importance of strengthening judicial cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, promoting resource sharing, and facilitating judicial exchanges in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
To support the implementation of these measures, Nansha will cultivate and attract high-level legal service professionals. It will also encourage related talents to improve their qualifications and international perspectives.
