Tianjin Holds International Shipping Industry Expo 2024
Tianjin International Shipping Industry Expo 2024 kicked off on July 10th. Themed “Shipping to the World & Navigating towards the Future - Facilitating Domestic and International Dual Circulation”, the expo aims to create a platform for international cooperation and exchange in the shipping industry.
Representatives from ministries, experts and scholars from industry associations and international organizations, and entrepreneurs gathered in Tianjin to discuss new trends, philosophies, and pathways for the development of the shipping industry, and to jointly plan a bright future for facilitating domestic and international dual circulation.
The opening day saw a signing ceremony for 65 key projects with investment totaling nearly 40 billion yuan. These projects cover various fields, including increased shipping capacity, new shipping productivity, green ports and shipping, shipping finance, and port trade. This will inject new impetus into the construction of the North International Shipping Core Area in Tianjin and gather new momentum for the integrated development of ports, industries, and cities. Among these, multiple high-quality projects with a total investment of 11 billion yuan have been settled in TEDA.
As the first and the most comprehensive shipping industry expo in China, this year’s expo features 9 themed exhibition areas with a total exhibition area of 50,000 square meters. It has attracted over 400 companies from home and abroad, including Fortune 500 companies, listed companies, and leading industry enterprises in the ports, shipping, and related upstream and downstream industries. The expo demonstrated equipment, technology, and services across the shipping industry chain.
TEDA companies, such as CIMC Wetrans Logistics Technology Co., Ltd. and BOMESC Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd., participated in the expo, showing the vibrant development of TEDA’s shipping industry.
